I really didn’t plan this outfit for Valentines Day at all. It was a happy accident that I wore all pink and that Valentines Day is coming up. This look is so feminine and girly, it just makes me so happy! I think the lace up ballet flats have a huge part to play in that. This style has been in for quite a bit now and I really hope it stays around. Growing up I remember thinking how cool shoes were that you had to tie up your leg. Ballet point shoes included. It’s just such a fun little feature. Not all lace up shoes are my style, but the ballet flats really do feel rather girly and fun.
This sweater is the exact same one from the post last week, just in a soft pink. It is also a little itchy, but once I had it on for a bit I was used to it. I love how the skirt and the sweater are very different shades of pink, but go together pretty well. Not everyone is a pink fan like I am, but I think this outfit works pretty well as a softer Valentines Day outfit. It’s not a super bold statement piece but it fits the holiday.
This past weekend my family went to see the movie Hidden Figures. Have any of you seen it? It was so good! I absolutely loved it. It’s so crazy to look back and remember how far our country has come. I thought the creators did a really great job combining the real footage from the rocket launches and mixing them into the movie as well. Overall I highly recommend it!
