This shoot is probably one of my favorites to date. I loved this outfit, and the way these photos came out. However, I really gotta be a better blogger and get clothes out to you sooner. This top was fully stocked when I took these photos and now it is not. Target does however have tons of other similar tops, like this or this, that are stocked! When these pop over button ups became popular I was a little iffy. They kind of reminded me of a mans shirt or a safari kinda thing but I’m actually a huge fan now. There’s so many different ways to style them. I’ve worn them before just as is, and I love the look tucked in too.
I wore this look to work and to a wedding consolation meeting. It was so easy to dress up the button up by tying it in the front and pairing it with a skirt. The fact that jean skirts are back in makes my little jr high heart happy. Does anyone else remember when those flat front jean mini skirts were so popular? I remember girls wearing them with uggs too. Let’s maybe not bring back that trend!
So who’s ready for summer vacation?! My summer has finally calmed down and my fun plans are right around the corner. The last few weeks were kicking my butt (which I mentioned more than once on the blog already) and now I am finally on top of everything. I feel like since I made it through the weekend I can finally take a nice deep breath and chill. Which I mean when do I actually chill…but I could if I want to now! I’ve been really aware of how much I work lately and how I really do need to take better care of myself. My time management skills could use some work. I have a tendency to come home and work more on all my side gigs every night but never actually take a night at home to just relax. My new goal is to spend at least one night at home not working on stuff. This seems like it should be easy, but it’s actually not. This week I succeeded in coming home Monday and not working on the blog or business related stuff but I did do laundry and clean my room. Both of which really needed to be done, but still not exactly relaxing. I still look at that as progress though because I didn’t open my computer. Baby steps people!
